Project
Live electronic music and food festival visual identity, promotional poster design, and modular graphic system.
Request
Create an energetic, high-impact festival visual identity inspired by modernist Bauhaus and Constructivist principles to bridge visual art, sound, and culinary culture.
Establish a versatile geometric form language that visually translates sound waves, mixing faders, vinyl culture, and live event motion.
Build a bold, high-contrast primary color palette that maintains high readability across physical print, large-format event signage, and digital promotional channels.
Develop a comprehensive design process system demonstrating form exploration, typographic studies, and scalable layout variations for dynamic brand application.
Design Concept

Graphic Systems & Visual Hierarchy
To capture the rhythmic intersection of sound, form, and live atmosphere, the visual architecture relies on strong dynamic diagonals and structural grids:
The Main Poster Layout: Utilises a dramatic diagonal typography layout and strong linear directional lines that guide the eye seamlessly from the festival title down to the headliner lineup and venue details at Kraftwerk, Berlin.
Typographic Studies & Form: Features bold, geometric sans-serif typography paired with precise typographic scale variations—balancing maximum headline impact with ultra-legible event details, lineup lists, and dates.
Sound Motifs & Modular Graphics
To visually represent the festival's identity, key electronic music elements were abstractly translated into vector graphics:
Audio & Vinyl Imagery: The central focal motif reimagines a vinyl record and sound waves using segmented geometric circles and vibrant color blocking, echoing electronic music production.
Equalizer & Fader System: Graphic representations of mixing console faders, graphic meters, and soundboard sliders act as recurring functional accents, grounding the festival’s technical audio identity.
Brand Colour Palette & Dynamic Contrast
The palette draws heavily from iconic modern art movements, utilizing high-contrast primary tones grounded by sharp neutral bases:
Cobalt Blue (#0055B8): Brings deep, structural resonance and balance across primary layout frames and key focal shapes.
Vermilion Red (#E5392B): Delivers intense, vibrant energy across dynamic diagonal ribbons, headliner accents, and directional markers.
Cadmium Yellow (#F2B400): Injects warmth and rhythm, representing the culinary/food aspect and lighting ambience of live performance.
Cream & Deep Charcoal Base: Replaces harsh pure white with a warm, editorial cream backdrop paired with stark, solid black for optimal contrast and structural authority.
Design Execution & Scalability
The project demonstrates a thorough creative methodology—progressing from fundamental geometric form explorations and color studies to multi-layout iterations. The modular design system effortlessly scales from full-size venue posters and promotional flyers to digital screens, social media assets, and festival merchandise while maintaining an unmistakable aesthetic identity.
